A theoretical project thought to increase the storage area of the Venice Biennale.
Venice is a city close to the pedestrian scale, very domestic, full of urban diversity and cultural richness. This charming town is located in a swampy land at the Adriatic Sea through which gains its unique character to develop on the waters of this sea. Our project intends to carry this spirit and colorful culture of Venice when we are expanding their archives, also we would take the opportunity to give the city a new public space formed between the walls of those archives.
To do so, a module of 4 x 30 x 10 m. would be created to store the artwork which would be disposed repeatedly so that it can generate closed and roofed spaces as well as the open spaces. The closed areas would be used for consultation rooms and libraries while the open spaces would serve as the public areas of the project.
The coverage of the whole area would be done by some horizontal elements that collect the solar energy through incorporated photovoltaic panels, at the same time, they would create shaded areas.
This item would be able to supply enough energy for the whole project. Thanks to this ability, this area could become an important center for cultural activities since it is strongly connected with the consultation offices.
